About Us

Hi, I'm Jordyn.
Military Spouse • Speech-Language Pathologist
Founder of Courageous Communicators
I am a speech-language pathologist with extensive experience supporting military families across multiple different settings—public and private schools, outpatient clinics, in-home early intervention, and teletherapy. As both an SLP and a military spouse, I understand firsthand the logistical and emotional challenges that military life can bring. That lived experience shapes every resource, product, and program I create through Courageous Communicators. I want families to feel truly seen, supported, and empowered.

My clinical passions include early language development, gestalt language processing (GLP), assistive and augmentative communication (AAC), childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), articulation and phonology disorders, and selective eating. Alongside my work with Courageous Communicators, I also serve families in the San Diego area through Speech Bee Speech Therapy, Inc., as an in-home speech-language pathologist and an AAC specialist for California's Voice Options Program.

I am truly grateful that you are here. Thank you for inviting me into your family’s journey. I look forward to walking alongside you and supporting your child as they grow, communicate, and shine in their own unique way.

Our Heart Behind the Name
The name Courageous Communicators is inspired by Joshua 1:9:
“Be strong and courageous…for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Military children embody this truth daily. They adapt, overcome, and grow despite frequent moves, new schools, changing support systems, and the unique challenges of military life. Their resilience is courageous—and their communication journey deserves that same strength and support.

Courageous Communicators exists to honor that journey. With our motto—“speak boldly, serve faithfully”—we honor both the calling of military service and the call to serve God and Jesus Christ through empowering children’s voices.
