1:1 Coaching

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a personalized, family-centered conversation where you meet 1:1 with Jordyn—an experienced speech-language pathologist and military spouse who understands both the clinical and emotional sides of military life.

During your session, we explore your specific concerns, answer your questions, and create an actionable plan you can confidently follow. Think of it as having a knowledgeable partner in your corner who can help you understand your options and guide you in making informed decisions about your child’s care.

Why is it Helpful?

Military families often face barriers that civilian families simply don’t—frequent moves, long waitlists, inconsistent services, and different state or installation-based systems. Coaching steps in with continuity, clarity, and individualized support—even when everything else changes.

How Can Coaching Support Military Families?

✔ Individualized Guidance

No two families, duty stations, or children are the same. Coaching gives you tailored strategies that fit your situation, not a one-size-fits-all answer.

✔ Immediate, Clear Answers

Instead of searching online or waiting weeks for a new provider, you get direct explanations from a licensed SLP who understands TRICARE, EFMP, school systems, out-of-state transitions, and PCS timelines.

✔ Support Through PCS Moves

We walk through what to do before, during, and after a move—helping you maintain continuity of care, gather records, prepare for new evaluations, and rebuild your child’s team with confidence.

✔ Deployment-Specific Support

We offer guidance on preparing your child for a parent’s departure in developmentally appropriate ways, helping caregivers maintain consistent communication routines while strengthening coping and communication skills.

✔ Help Navigating TRICARE & Referrals

We provide education on the difference between TRICARE Prime vs. Select, referrals vs. authorizations, timelines, the healthcare portals, and how to find a provider at your next location.

✔ School & Early Intervention Guidance

From IEPs to IFSPs to MIC3 protections, we clarify your rights, timelines, and communication strategies when transitioning between states or districts.

✔ Speech & Language Concerns

Coaching is helpful for families who are unsure whether to seek an evaluation, how to support their child at home, or what type of therapy their child may need. Sessions can address:

  • Whether a child may benefit from an AAC device

  • Concerns about late talking or delayed language development

  • Questions about sound production

  • And more!

Families leave with clarity, practical strategies, and a plan they can immediately begin implementing.

Ready to Feel Confident and Supported?

You do not have to navigate TRICARE, PCS moves, deployments, or speech and language concerns on your own. With personalized guidance from an experienced SLP and military spouse who truly understands this journey, you can move forward with clarity and peace of mind.

Whether you need quick answers, support through a major transition, or ongoing guidance for your child, there is a package designed just for your family. Your child deserves the best support—and you deserve someone walking alongside you every step of the way.
